Greencore Homes to build 91 low-carbon homes in Puckeridge

Greencore Homes has exchanged on a 13.9 acre site in Puckeridge, East Hertfordshire for a residential development. 

Greencore plans to submit a reserved matters application by summer 2026.

The acquisition supports East Hertfordshire Council’s district plan to deliver 1,173 new homes per year. 

Greencore will build homes with low embodied carbon using natural materials. 

The development is designed to reach net energy balance and will feature renewable energy sources, including photovoltaic panels. 

Homes will be energy performance certificate (EPC)-A rated and built to Passivhaus standards.

Wates Group promoted the site. 

Forsters handled legal services for Greencore. 

The landowner’s agents were Strutt & Parker, while Birketts and DAC Beachcroft provided legal advice to the landowner.
