Marrons has hired experienced planning associate director Max Kidd-Rossiter (pictured) in Manchester, as part of its strategy to grow in the North.
Kidd-Rossiter joins from Lichfields, where he worked his way up from planner to associate director.
He has worked on residential, industrial and land promotion projects across the North West.
His work includes coordinating development consortiums, managing major planning applications, carrying out housing land assessments and representing clients at local plan examinations.
He will be building a team in Manchester, supporting private sector clients, landowners, developers and public sector bodies with planning services.
Kidd-Rossiter said: “I have seen Marrons’ impressive growth and national presence in recent years.
“Joining now allows me to build a trusted presence in the North West and help realise Marrons’ ambitions in the northern market.
“The opportunity to establish a dynamic team – while supporting clients with commercially grounded, pragmatic planning advice – is something I’m incredibly passionate about.”
Kidd-Rossiter added: “The North West is experiencing rapid change, with growing pressures for new homes, high-quality employment space and supporting infrastructure.
“Combined with national planning reforms and progress on several local development plans, there is a real opportunity to help shape sustainable growth in the region.”
Brian Mullin, head of Marrons, said: “This is a landmark moment for Marrons. Max’s experience across the North West and his strong leadership skills make him the ideal person as we look to establish a Manchester office.
“His appointment, alongside our northern expansion, reflects our commitment to growing our presence and delivering high-quality, effective planning and design solutions for our clients.”
Dan Mitchell, head of the Leeds office and responsible for growth into Manchester, said: “We’re committed to growing our presence in the north and providing clients with expert, practical advice.
“Max’s appointment enables us to offer greater local support, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to shaping sustainable development in this fast-changing region.
“We are looking to further grow our teams in the north and are on the lookout for commercially minded planners and designers.”
