Seaford Finance expands with launch of SME division
Seaford SME will be led by David Thomas, who has been with Seaford for over 20 years.
Seaford Finance has launched Seaford SME, a division focused on loans between £1m and £5m.
This follows a period of record growth in its core mid-market business, where the firm deals with loans of £15m and above.
The target for the SME team is £100m to £150m of debt origination in its first year.
The new division will be led by David Thomas, who has been with Seaford for over 20 years and previously held senior roles at Barclays and Northern Rock Commercial Finance.
Morris Rothbart, managing partner at Seaford Finance, said: “Our reputation is built on high-level execution for major mid-market transactions, yet our roots remain with the clients who have grown alongside us.
“The launch of Seaford SME under David’s leadership allows us to divide our expertise: providing dedicated, senior-level attention to the £1m – £5m space, while our core partners continue to drive the high-value £15m+ mandates that are the bedrock of our firm.”
Seaford SME will mainly support professional landlords and developers in residential portfolios, offices, retail, industrial/logistics, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), and mixed-use schemes.
The team will operate across the UK, using a network of business development executives and a central execution team based in Manchester.
