Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) has announced the launch of The Broker Awards: North West, which will take place at MBE North 2026 in Manchester in association with The Intermediary.
The awards will be held during MBE North at Manchester Central on 9th July 2026 and will be free for visitors to attend. Registration for the expo is now open, with the seminar programme due to be announced next month.

Further categories include best new broker business (under 2 years) and best broker firm overall, alongside partner and support awards for packagers or master brokers, legal or conveyancing partners and technology providers.
Contribution awards will include rising star broker, service to the industry, best community impact initiative and diversity and inclusion champion.
Mike Mikunda, director at MBE, said: “Since moving our MBE North event to Manchester, the feedback from brokers and lenders has been clear that an event celebrating and recognising excellence in the North West would be well received and so we are delighted to launch the North West Broker Awards this year.
“The awards ceremony will be informal, so there’s no need to dress up in black tie or buy a table, and those attending MBE North will also be able to attend the event.
“I’m also excited that Terry Blackburn from The Wealthy Advisers Club will be hosting the awards, as well as running some sessions for advisers in the day’s seminar programme.”
Terry Blackburn, founder of The Wealthy Advisers Club, added: “2026 is proving to be a pivotal year for The Wealthy Advisers Club, as we have just reached 1,500 members and are becoming recognised as the go to resource for all advisers who want to generate consistent leads, present with clarity, handle objections calmly, and following up with structure.
“We also help advisers and firms improve performance through sales process, appointment quality, efficiency, leadership, and culture, making growth more predictable and sustainable.
“I’m looking forward to hosting the inaugural The Broker Awards: North West and I’ll also be hosting some sessions during MBE North too to show and help advisers choose a path of achievable and realistic business growth.”
Ryan Fowler, managing director of Astor Media, the publisher of The Intermediary said: “We are delighted to be supporting The Broker Awards: North West to celebrate and reward the hard work of brokers throughout the region.
“The Intermediary will be covering news, features and articles from brokers in the North West in the lead up to the awards and so if anyone would like to be featured, please reach out to our editorial team.”
Alex Upton, managing director, specialist mortgages and bridging finance, Hampshire Trust Bank, said: “We’re pleased to sponsor The Broker Awards and recognise the brokers helping to drive the North West’s mortgage and specialist finance market forward.
“The region has a strong intermediary community across residential, buy-to-let and specialist finance, and the expertise behind those businesses plays an important role in supporting clients and investment across the region.
“Brokers are central to the specialist market. Their knowledge, relationships and judgement help clients navigate complexity and keep transactions moving. Recognising that contribution across the North West’s broker community is exactly what these awards are about.”
