Skipton BS and LifeSearch partner to provide life insurance advice to members

Skipton Building Society has partnered with LifeSearch to offer life insurance advice and products to its members. 

The deal marks Skipton’s move from a single-tie arrangement to a broker model, which means members can now access a wider range of life insurance, critical illness and income protection products from leading insurers. 

LifeSearch’s advisers will give Skipton members tailored recommendations to help them find suitable cover. 

Research from LifeSearch found that 62% of consumers thought it was important to access products from more than one insurer when looking for life insurance through banks, building societies or high-street retailers. 

The same research found that 69% wanted fair prices based on comprehensive market comparisons.
