West One expands mortgage division with senior appointment and new underwriting role

West One has strengthened its mortgage division with a senior promotion and a new underwriting role.

In his new position, Ruse will support club and network partners nationwide while working closely with regional sales teams to deepen broker relationships.
The lender has also introduced a roving underwriter role, designed to provide on-the-ground support for brokers in South Wales.
The position aims to improve efficiency from enquiry through to completion by offering more responsive, case-specific underwriting support.
In addition, seven roles within the underwriting function have been filled through internal promotions, reflecting a focus on talent development and creating structured career progression pathways within the organisation.
