Atom bank deploys Flowable platform to accelerate commercial lending
To date, Atom has achieved reductions of up to 30% between application and agreement in principle.
Atom bank has implemented the Flowable process automation engine as part of a technology overhaul designed to improve speed, efficiency and scalability across its commercial lending operation.
The bank said the platform will reduce origination times while creating infrastructure capable of supporting future artificial intelligence applications, including AI-assisted underwriting.
According to Atom, the platform is delivering improvements across the commercial mortgage journey, including reductions in average handling times between application and agreement in principle.
To date, Atom has achieved reductions of up to 30% between application and agreement in principle, with further improvements expected as the platform develops.
The lender said the technology will also allow it to increase processing capacity without a corresponding rise in operational headcount, while replacing manual handoffs with automated workflows designed to improve resilience and reduce operational risk.
For brokers, the new platform aims to provide faster processing times, greater transparency and improved case tracking through a secure online portal.
The system captures information tailored to lending requirements and allows brokers to monitor case progress in real time.
