Sancus has appointed Andrew Charnley (pictured) as group chief executive officer (CEO) following a period of significant growth.

Charnley, who joined Sancus in October 2024 to lead its UK business, takes on the group CEO role with immediate effect after overseeing a major transformation of the UK operation.

Since joining the business, he has led a programme focused on strengthening the Sancus customer proposition, enhancing operational processes, embedding robust risk management disciplines and building a strong team to support continued growth.

The UK business is headquartered in Manchester, while the wider Sancus Group has established operations in London, Ireland and The Channel Islands.

During his career, he has held senior leadership positions within leading financial institutions, with responsibilities spanning business growth, operational improvement and risk management.

He said: “The progress we have made in the UK over the last 18 months has created a strong foundation for future profitable growth.

“I am incredibly proud of what the team has achieved and the opportunity to build on that progress across the wider Group as CEO is hugely exciting.

Mepham said: “Andrew’s leadership of our UK business has demonstrated his ability to drive performance, strengthen customer relationships and build high-performing teams.

“It is with great pleasure that I hand over the role to him, and I look forward to seeing Sancus go from strength to strength.”
