BuildwellAI has launched a compliance intelligence platform designed to help contractors, inspectors and asset owners improve record-keeping and meet regulatory requirements under the Building Safety Act.

The launch comes as the construction industry faces increasing pressure to improve quality and accountability.
According to the Get It Right Initiative, avoidable errors cost the UK construction sector around £21bn a year, with poor data, fragmented record-keeping and late defect detection identified as key contributors.
BuildwellAI aims to combine automation and construction intelligence to maintain a real-time “golden thread” of information.
Its offering includes AI-powered site monitoring, digital inspection workflows, technical support tools, regulatory updates and documentation management.
Ben Smallwood, chief executive of BuildwellAI, said: “Construction runs on trust, but day to day it still runs on paperwork, spreadsheets, and gut feel.
“Too many problems only surface once they have become expensive to fix, and under the Building Safety Act, the liability now follows you for the life of the building.
“We built BuildwellAI to change that. By connecting documentation, inspection, and verification in one place, teams can prove what was built, how it was checked, and why it complies while the work is still happening, not years later.
