North Devon Homes has selected Totalmobile’s Field First platform to change how it handles repairs, compliance and asset management for its 3,300 homes.

Once fully rolled out, the Field First platform will give 160 staff a single view of repairs, compliance, scheduling and asset information across the organisation.

This is expected to give teams real-time details on repairs, asset performance and compliance, supporting operational decisions and future planning.

David Webb (pictured), managing director for housing and facilities management at Totalmobile, said: “One of the biggest changes we’re seeing across the housing sector is that organisations are no longer looking at repairs, compliance and asset management as separate challenges.

“They’re asking how those services can work together to give teams a complete picture of every property and every resident.

“Replacing a legacy system creates a rare opportunity to rethink how an organisation operates.”

Webb added: “North Devon Homes has chosen to use that opportunity to build a more connected operating model, creating the visibility needed to support better decisions, strengthen compliance and help deliver better services for customers.

“That’s exactly where our Field First platform adds value.”

Martyn Gimber, chief executive at North Devon Homes, said: “This investment is about much more than replacing technology. It is about giving our colleagues the tools, information and visibility they need to deliver the best possible service to our customers.

“By bringing repairs, compliance and asset management together into a single platform, we are creating a stronger foundation for the future.

“This will help us make informed decisions, continue to invest in our homes and ensure we are well positioned to meet the evolving needs of our customers and regulatory requirements.”

The platform will introduce dynamic scheduling, work order management, stock management, job costing, repairs diagnostics and invoicing.

It will also support void management, cyclical servicing, property compliance and new regulations, including Awaab’s Law, electrical safety standards, the housing health and safety rating system, the decent homes standard and SAP10.
