Recognise Bank has declared its new Milton Keynes office fully operational as the specialist small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) property lender continues to expand its lending and operational capabilities.

The bank said the new office brings together all bridging and term lending origination operations, both pre- and post-offer, alongside loan servicing functions under one roof.

The move comes as Recognise Bank reported loan book growth of more than 45% over the past 12 months and recently surpassed £600m in deposits.

The lender also reached a £500m loan book milestone earlier this year.

The Milton Keynes office is designed to improve collaboration, leadership oversight and operational efficiency, supporting the bank’s recently launched ‘Decisive Bank’ branding.

The office is led by Anita Kirkbright, head of operations at Recognise Bank.

Kirkbright said: “Since we announced the setting up of our Milton Keynes office at the start of December last year, it’s been inspiring to not only see the team pull together to create this new office, but also to be able to attract such incredible talent from the local area.

“We are already witnessing the value of a joined up ‘cradle to grave lending’ approach which is delivering consistency and decisiveness to brokers and their SME clients.”

Simon Bateman, chief executive officer at Recognise Bank, said: “As I said in December, when I announced the setting up of the Milton Keynes office, this is an important step on our journey to build a stronger, more connected and decisive, Recognise Bank.

“One that’s fit for the next stage of our journey, while staying true to the values of being The Decisive Bank and service our customer’s trust.

“Already this year we have not only exceeded £600m in deposits but also reached the milestone of a £500m loan book and have undergone a rebrand.

“However, we have no intention of standing still, as the feedback in the last few months about the Bank from brokers has been superb and gives me and my executive team the confidence to achieve our wider growth ambitions.”
