Wimbledon boosts London short-term rental demand by 30%, research reveals

Wimbledon drove a 30% increase in short-term rental bookings across London during last year’s Championships, as homeowners capitalised on rising demand from international visitors, according to Veeve.
The short-term accommodation platform said 612 nights were booked during the 2025 tournament, up 30% compared with the previous two weeks.
Average daily rates also rose by 23% to £433 over the same period.
Veeve said one homeowner generated more than £7,300 in additional income by renting out their property to two families visiting from the US and Iceland while they were away.
The company said demand was strongest in Wimbledon, Richmond, Chelsea, Kensington, Fulham and Wandsworth, with tennis fans, corporate guests, media representatives and overseas visitors contributing to increased demand for premium accommodation.
