Homes England confirms 33 strategic partners to deliver £39bn SAHP
Each organisation will receive grant funding and work with Homes England to provide homes in communities with the greatest need.
Homes England and the Government have confirmed 33 strategic partners to help deliver the £39bn Social and Affordable Homes Programme (SAHP).
The programme aims to bring thousands of new social and affordable homes across England outside of London, with funding and delivery running until 2036.
The partners include Abri Group Limited, Accent Housing Limited, Amplius Living, Aster Communities, Bromford Flagship Livewest Limited, Cambridge City Council, Clarion Housing Association Limited, Eastleigh Borough Council, EMH Housing and Regeneration Limited, Great Places Housing Association, Hyde Housing Association Limited.
Other partners are Jigsaw Homes North, Karbon Homes Limited, Magna Housing Limited, Metropolitan Housing Trust Limited, Midland Heart Limited, Newcastle City Council, Onward Homes Limited, Orbit Group Limited, Park Properties HA Ltd, Places For People Group Limited, Platform Housing Group Limited.
Plymouth Community Homes Limited, Sage Homes RP Limited, Sanctuary Housing Association, Stonewater Limited, Thirteen Housing Group Limited, Together Housing Association Limited, Torus62 Limited, Vico Homes Limited, Vistry Homes Limited, Vivid Housing Limited and Yorkshire Housing Limited, are also partners.

Amy Rees, CEO of Homes England, said: “The strong demand for SAHP funding demonstrates the sector’s ambition to deliver as part of this once-in-a-generation opportunity to come together, alongside partners funded through the programme’s alternative Continuous Market Engagement (CME) route, to deliver thousands of social and affordable homes for people, families and communities across England.
“Our team is absolutely focused on working in close collaboration with our partners alongside regional leaders, mayors and the sector to deliver on government policy and ensure this investment supports the creation of high quality homes and thriving places that people want and need.”
Julian Francis, director of external affairs at RICS, said: “The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) welcomes the UK Government’s commitment to expanding the supply of social and affordable housing through the first major allocation from its £39 billion Social and Affordable Homes Programme.
“The investment to strengthen local authority capacity, combined with the expansion of the Pathways to Planning programme into specialist roles including surveying and construction project management, is particularly positive.
“Delivering homes at scale requires not only funding but also sufficient professional skills and expertise across planning, valuation, development, construction, and asset management.”
Francis added: “As more responsibility for housing investment is devolved to local leaders and authorities, it is crucial that funding is matched by robust capacity.
“RICS and its members will continue to aid the UK Government, Homes England and local partners in turning this long-term investment into high-quality, sustainable and affordable homes.”
