Lakeshield appoints Rory Taylor as sales director

In his new role, Taylor will manage the BDM team, expand the number of brokers who know Lakeshield, and lead the growth of the loan book.

Lakeshield has strengthened its team with the appointment of Rory Taylor (pictured) as its new sales director. 

In his new role, Taylor will manage the business development manager (BDM) team, expand the number of brokers who know Lakeshield, and lead the growth of the loan book.

He brings 16 years of experience in banking and commercial lending. 

He previously worked as relationship manager at GB Bank, where he looked after a portfolio of complex lending structures, including bridging finance, refurbishment loans, mezzanine funding, and term lending.

Before joining GB Bank, Taylor held similar roles at Allica Bank and TSB Bank.

He also spent time at Lloyds Bank, where he became BDM and built an external introducer network.

Taylor said: “I’m really excited to be joining Lakeshield and helping them achieve their goals in the years ahead. 

“My previous experiences have equipped me well for the challenge of moving to an ambitious specialist lender and helping them to solidify their reputation and accelerate their growth.”
