Mortgage industry launches fantasy football league in aid of MIMHC
Entry is a minimum £10 donation, with all money going to the Charter, and closes at 18:30 on 21st August.
A new industry-wide fantasy football league has launched for the 2026/27 season, raising funds for the Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter (MIMHC).
Anyone working in mortgages and property finance can take part, including brokers, lenders, networks, clubs, packagers, conveyancers, surveyors and suppliers.
Entry is a minimum £10 donation, with all money going to the Charter, and closes at 18:30 on 21st August.
Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) is sponsoring the top prize, with two Club Wembley tickets to watch an England men’s home international for the winner.
JammJar is funding cash prizes of £200 for first and second place and £100 for third.
All entry money goes directly to the MIMHC and will not be used for prizes.
Karl Griffin, CEO and co-founder of JammJar, said: “This industry is competitive, opinionated and about four degrees of separation from top to bottom, which makes it almost perfectly designed for a fantasy football league.
“We wanted to point that energy at something useful and the MIMHC was the obvious choice.
“It does fantastic work in raising awareness and providing important guidance that helps people in the mortgage industry to take better care of their mental health.”
Griffin added: “So, we’ve created a league with some excellent prizes, but where every penny raised from entry fees goes straight to the charity.”

“One of the things we continually champion through MIMHC is the importance of connection. Fantasy football creates conversation, friendly rivalry and a reason for people right across our industry to engage with each other, while raising funds that will be reinvested into improving mental health and wellbeing support.
“We’re incredibly grateful to JammJar and MAB for their generosity in funding the prizes separately, meaning every pound donated through entry goes to MIMHC.”
Berry added: “I’d love to see hundreds of people across the mortgage industry get involved, have some fun and help us make a difference at the same time.”
