The Right Mortgage appoints Drew Wilson as specialist lending development manager
Wilson will work with TRM member firms and advisers, supporting cases that need solutions outside of mainstream mortgage lending.
The Right Mortgage & Protection Network (TRM) has appointed Drew Wilson (pictured) as specialist lending development manager.
Wilson will report to Victoria Clark, head of lending, and work with TRM member firms and advisers in the specialist lending market, supporting cases that need solutions outside of mainstream mortgage lending.
Wilson brings more than five years of experience in mortgage and protection roles and gained his CeMAP qualification in 2023.
He returns to The Right Mortgage after previously spending four years as national account manager, where he supported member firms in recruitment, onboarding, compliance, product diversification and business development.
Most recently, Wilson worked as ancillary sales executive at Crystal Specialist Finance, supporting clients through the case journey and identifying alternative finance solutions.
Wilson said: “It’s lovely to return to my roots with all my mentors and family.
“Having spent the past few years working directly in specialist lending, I am honoured to be given this opportunity to help our network and its advisers in the specialist lending space at a time when advisers’ clients are increasingly far from ‘vanilla’.
“My goal in this role is to make sure advisers have everything they need to succeed in the specialist lending space, providing the support they need when working with clients whose circumstances require an approach different to the mainstream.”
Clark said: “Drew brings valuable experience of the specialist lending market to this role and a strong understanding of the support advisers need when dealing with cases which sit outside standard lending criteria.
“Having previously spent four years with TRM, Drew also knows our network, our team, our member firms and the importance we place on providing advisers with practical support.
“His more recent experience within specialist finance adds to that knowledge and we are very pleased to welcome him back to us.”
