Family Building Society has appointed Paul Ormonde (pictured) as business development manager (BDM) covering Central London.
He began his career in estate agency before moving into mortgages and joining The Mortgage Times Group in 2004.
Ormonde later held roles at Knight Frank and the State Bank of India, as well as spending four years at Foundation Home Loans.
He subsequently helped launch Quantum Mortgages and was involved in three securitisations over three years worth more than £850m.
Ormonde said: “When I was approached by Darren Deacon and his colleagues, I was aware of the Family’s growing reputation among brokers and for its innovative track record in the lending market.
“On hearing of the Society’s exciting growth plans, I immediately warmed to the prospect of a new challenge and am delighted to have to have joined a multi-award winning team.”
Deacon, head of intermediary sales at the Family Building Society, added: “Paul’s experience and pedigree is well known as is his business acumen. We are very pleased that he has joined us.
“His excellent relationships with mortgage brokers and other intermediaries in Central London, a market that is very important to us, will be invaluable.”
