Family Building Society has relaunched its fixed rate mortgage range across its owner-occupier and buy-to-let (BTL) products, with rates increased by 0.60% and longer end dates introduced.

This follows the temporary withdrawal of the range on 4th September.

The society said the changes reflected current swap rate volatility.

There have been no changes to its variable rate products, including discount and tracker rates, while mortgage reversionary rates also remain unchanged.

Darren Deacon, head of intermediary sales at Family Building Society, said: “Market conditions remain challenging for borrowers and brokers alike, particularly against the backdrop of ongoing events in the Middle East.

“However, people still need to move or remortgage, and brokers need lenders that can provide flexibility and a pragmatic approach to more complex cases.

“Our refreshed fixed rate range gives intermediaries more options for borrowers who need the certainty of a fixed rate solution.”
