IPTF launches protection services comparison tool
The Value-Added Services Matrix provides details of services including digital GP access, mental health support and vocational rehabilitation.
The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has launched a free tool to help advisers compare health and wellbeing support offered with individual protection policies.
The Value-Added Services Matrix provides details of services including digital GP access, mental health support and vocational rehabilitation.
It gives advisers two ways to compare the market.
One covers IPTF service provider members Krysalis, Legacare, RedArc, Square Health, Teladoc and Working to Wellbeing, while the other sets out the services offered by each insurer.
Provider and insurer names link to their websites, where advisers can find further information.
Steve Casey, marketing director at Square Health, said: “Value-add benefits are an integral part of income protection plans and advisers really need to understand the nuts and bolts of what is available and how they are accessed.
“The IPTF should be applauded in providing guidance to the intricacies of who provides what”
Christine Husbands, commercial consultant at RedArc, said: “I often hear that advisers don’t fully understand the content of Value-Added Services and which insurer offers what.
“This high-level matrix is an excellent resource to give advisers an overview and enable them to quickly access more detailed information.”
