Legal & General Surveying Services rebrands as Westmarq

Legal & General (L&G) Surveying Services has rebranded as Westmarq.
The national surveying business will provide lenders with property valuations and data to support lending decisions.
Westmarq has retained its existing surveying teams and lender relationships while developing its technology and data services.
Richard Sexton, managing director of Westmarq, said: “Westmarq represents where we are going, rather than simply where we have been.
“We have a strong foundation of experienced surveyors, established lender relationships and deep technical expertise.
“We are building on that foundation, combining it with better data, technology and a clear focus on the decisions our clients need to make.”
Sexton added: “Property lending is changing. The volume and quality of data available to lenders is increasing, technology is becoming more sophisticated and the properties being assessed are not always straightforward.
“The answer is not to choose between technology and expertise. It is to use both intelligently.
“That is what Westmarq stands for. We want to help lenders make better decisions, faster, while retaining the professional judgement and quality that complex lending requires.”
