The Openwork Partnership has appointed Emma Hardiman (pictured) as marketing and communications director.

Hardiman will join the financial advice network in November, bringing 20 years of experience across financial services.

She joins from her own consultancy, where she has worked with UK wealth managers and advisory firms on proposition design, client segmentation and commercial growth.

Prior to this, Hardiman spent 12 years at Charles Stanley across two periods, including four years leading its marketing function.

Hardiman said: “Financial services marketing often plays it safe and ends up sounding like everyone else. I believe it is at its best when it is distinctive and commercially grounded.

“Openwork has the scale to be both and a marketing team that can turn that into growth for the partnership and I look forward to joining later this year.”

Rob Askham, chief commercial officer at The Openwork Partnership, said: “Emma’s track record of turning marketing into a commercial driver, and her experience across strategy, analytics and brand, make her a strong addition to our leadership team.
