Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) has appointed Catherine Mather (pictured, left) and Sophia Kettle (pictured, right) to senior roles in its homes division.
Mather will lead residential mortgages, with responsibility for the society’s proposition and customer experience.
Kettle will lead buy-to-let (BTL) as the society works to grow its specialist lending offer.
Mather previously held senior leadership roles at NatWest, covering mortgages, customer journeys, customer servicing and business transformation.
Kettle joins from LendInvest, where she progressed to commercial director.
Her experience covered mortgage distribution, BTL and specialist lending.
Mather said: “I’m excited to join Yorkshire Building Society at an important point in the development of its Homes business.
“It has a strong customer purpose and clear ambition, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues to shape the next stage of its residential mortgage proposition.”
Kettle said: “Yorkshire Building Society and Accord have strong reputations in the mortgage market.
“I’m delighted to be joining the team and look forward to working with colleagues and brokers to build on those strengths and further develop the buy-to-let proposition.”
Tom Simpson, managing director of Homes at Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We are building a Homes leadership team with deep mortgage experience, fresh thinking and clear accountability for the markets we serve.
“Catherine brings extensive experience of improving residential mortgage propositions and customer journeys at scale, while Sophia combines deep buy-to-let knowledge with strong commercial and intermediary experience.
“Together with Amanda’s appointment to lead distribution, they significantly strengthen our leadership across Homes.”
Simpson added: “This gives us greater depth and experience to turn our plans into better propositions, more responsive service and improved outcomes for customers and brokers.”
