Aldermore has appointed Ross Dalzell (pictured) as managing director of its property division, starting from 11th October.

Dalzell will drive the bank’s new strategy in the property market and be responsible for developing new, products and services for the self-employed, first-time buyers and those with less than perfect credit histories.

He has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and joins from Barclays where he held a number of positions within its corporate and business banking divisions, most recently as managing director, head of business relationships.

He will join the bank’s executive committee, and will report to CEO, Steven Cooper.

Cooper said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ross to the team. He brings with him a wealth of experience that will be invaluable as Aldermore implements its new growth strategy, which our Property division is central to.

“We’re a bank that’s always there to help people and businesses whose ambitions haven’t always been supported by the high street lenders. Ross’ expertise will play a vital role as we continue to offer greater choice and opportunity for people to go for it in life and in business.”

Dalzell added: “Aldermore has long been committed to understanding and providing industry-leading service, underpinned by deep expertise and strong customer relationships.

“I’m excited to get started and with the help of the rest of my team, continue to grow and enhance our property offering, and help more people realise their homebuying and commercial property aspirations.”
