Barclays appoints Martin Clift as head of intermediary services & transformation

Barclays has appointed Martin Clift as its new head of intermediary services & transformation.

Clift has worked within Barclays for over 35 years, holding a variety of roles including specialising in large scale distribution, operations leadership and strategic transformation.

He has also led global operations teams supporting secured retail lending, business banking & wealth and provided pan business leadership for key support services including workforce management, operational rigour & controls plus service & supplier management – this includes managing Barclays mortgage processing and contact centres.

Clift said: “It’s a real privilege to take on this role at such a pivotal moment for the mortgage market.

As head of intermediary services & transformation, Clift is the accountable executive tasked with driving transformation across Barclays intermediary proposition and will manage all Barclays related mortgage activity across this highly valued channel.
