Liverpool-based bridging lender Hope Capital has increased its support for the Sunshine Group, a charity that provides emotional and practical support to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The charity, which is based in the North West of England, provides support throughout the diagnosis, treatment and recovery stages of the disease.
Hope Capital has donated over £18,000 to the charity over the past seven years, with significant financial support given in the past 12 months.
The lender has also provided over 100 hours of marketing support, which has played an important role in increasing awareness of the charity.
As part of the marketing support provided, a new website has been designed and launched that includes a donation page, updates about events, information about the charity, ways to get involved and volunteer.
The Sunshine Group relies solely on donations, making funding and awareness crucial to the impact it can have on its members. Hope Capital’s support has been vital to the charity, particularly in raising its profile and helping to ensure that the services it provides can continue to grow.
Jonathan Sealey, CEO at Hope Capital, said: “Having supported Ann and the Sunshine Group for seven years now, we are so incredibly proud to have the opportunity to provide further support and help increase awareness about this amazing cause.
“The Sunshine Group has grown significantly over the past few years, so one way we thought we could help ensure this would continue was through boosting awareness of the charity through marketing efforts.”
As part of its commitment to the Sunshine Group, Hope Capital sponsors the charity’s annual Sunshine Ball, an event organised for members of the support group.
The sixth annual ball was held at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool towards the end of 2022 and raised vital funds for women with breast cancer.
Ann Coffey, organiser at the Sunshine Group, added: “We’re so appreciative of Jonathan and the Hope Capital team, especially over the past year when not only have we been blown away by the generosity of their support at the Sunshine Ball and the money donated, but also the time they have offered to help us raise the profile of the work we do.”
