Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has appointed Alex McMillen (pictured) as a business development manager (BDM) within its bridging division.
With over 10 years of experience in the mortgage finance sector, McMillen joins from HTBs specialist mortgages division where he worked as a lending manager for nine months.
Prior to that, he also worked for Magellan Homeloans and Bluestone Mortgages.
In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-lasting relationships with introducers in London and the Home Counties. This includes keeping brokers informed about HTB’s latest products, processes, and systems while providing timely feedback on lending decisions, including the issuance of terms.
McMillen expressed his excitement about the new role, stating that he is looking forward to improving HTB’s brand awareness, educating brokers on its systems and processes, and establishing HTB as a ‘go-to’ bridging lender in the market.
He added: “We have an amazing bridging proposition and I’m looking forward to getting out on the road to discuss how we can help brokers with their clients’ cases.”
Jamie Jolly, director of bridging, Hampshire Trust Bank, concluded: “I’m very pleased to welcome Alex to the bridging team at Hampshire Trust Bank. The fact that he is not new to HTB is a real boon and means he will be hitting the ground running.
“Over recent months we have put the finishing touches to the new HTB bridging team, with speed and flexibility at the forefront of our proposition. We’re looking to increase our market share this year and providing a smooth customer journey is key to achieving this.”
