SimplyBiz has launched an online tool called ‘Horizon Scanner’ to help its member firms stay up-to-date with regulatory changes that may affect their businesses.
The interactive tool is designed to provide advisers with easy access to the latest regulatory activities that are expected to come into effect in 2023 and beyond.
The ‘Horizon Scanner’ is a living document that is constantly updated as new policies, consultations, or feedback are released by regulators.
It sits within the SimplyBiz website and features live links that take users to documentation or more detailed guidance elsewhere on the site.
According to Paul Bruns, compliance director of SimplyBiz, there are several significant regulatory initiatives that advisers should be aware of this year, in addition to the Consumer Duty which has been the focus of attention for the past 12 months.
Some of these initiatives include Consultation Papers on FSCS reform and the Review of the Capital Adequacy Requirements, as well as the FCA report on its Retirement Income Review and the end of the transitional rules applying to the AR Regime.
Bruns said that the Horizon Scanner will help advisers stay aware of these changes and ensure that they are compliant with the latest regulations.
He added that SimplyBiz is on hand to support its members and provide them with peace of mind as part of its range of regulatory and technical support services.
