ONP Solicitors gears up for expansion in Leeds amid soaring conveyancing and remortgage demand

ONP Solicitors, a legal firm based in Stockport, is set to expand its operations in Leeds as demand for its conveyancing and remortgage services continue to surge. This move also takes advantage of the wealth of conveyancing talent in the Yorkshire area.

Initially established as a satellite office in May last year, the Leeds base has grown organically to house over 30 case managers by early 2023. ONP now plans to accelerate this growth, aiming to establish an office with over 100 conveyancers. The expansion will leverage its technology-led, innovative and customer-focused conveyancing service.

Craig Underwood, chief operating officer, and Mark Tosetti, group partnership director, will spearhead the expansion. Both are veterans of the conveyancing market and are familiar with Leeds’ legal scene, having joined from Optima Legal in late 2022.

“Our goal is to continue our growth in a sustainable and manageable way, putting people at the heart of our business,” says ONP’s CEO, Nick Hale. “Under Craig and Mark’s leadership, we aim to continue to train and develop an experienced team that can provide the best possible customer outcomes.”

ONP’s expansion in Leeds marks a significant milestone in the firm’s growth journey. The Leeds office currently hosts 34 colleagues specialising in the remortgaging market. However, ONP plans to hire experienced sales and purchase colleagues to complement the existing team and give the firm a hybrid skillset in the region.

In parallel, ONP is seeking newcomers to the sector, with plans to train and develop talent in Leeds and other existing locations.

“With a strong focus on people, technology, and a transformative attitude, ONP is poised to become one of the leading providers of conveyancing services in the UK,” comments Craig Underwood.

ONP is primed for success in 2023, with a relentless focus on the speed and quality of service. As it continues to innovate and evolve, ONP’s dedication to service forms the bedrock of its early 2023 success and lays a strong foundation for its growth plans for 2023 and beyond.
