Former Barclays manager joins Commercial Expert as Cardiff appointed representative

David Burford (pictured), formerly a business development manager at Barclays Bank, has become the latest addition to the commercial finance specialists team at Commercial Expert.

Burford spent nine years at Barclays before making the switch to Commercial Expert. In his new role, he will be an appointed representative covering Cardiff.

His appointment to Commercial Expert marks the third in just six months, underscoring the company’s increasing footprint across the UK. With a career spanning over two decades, Burford has built relationships with a range of local and national brokers, aiding businesses of all sizes in securing finance.

At Barclays, Burford was charged with the oversight of more than 200 IFA/mortgage broker firms, presiding over an annual turnover in excess of £250m. In his

Commercial Expert has operated with the Appointed Representative (AR) model since 2018. The model provides commercial finance specialists the ability to offer regionalised support to those seeking funding in their local area.
