LMS unveils Secure Link Technology to improve law firm communication

LMS, the conveyancer and panel management specialist, has today launched its Secure Link technology – a system which promises to completely digitalise and streamline communication between law firms.

Building on the successful initial launch of Secure Link in 2021, LMS worked closely with law firms to understand their needs and challenges, and to design a solution that addresses them directly.

The new technology promises a raft of enhancements, including case-specific conversation and task tracking to increase efficiency, a completely secure messaging system for law firm-to-law firm communication, and a singular view of the entire case, connecting all stakeholders securely to improve turnaround times while mitigating fraud risks.

The system stands to benefit the end borrower with improved customer service, and its requirement for full authentication of all users significantly reduces the risk of fraud. With a panel of approximately 4,000 law firms and over 40,000 active users, LMS is well-positioned to provide a smooth transition to the new technology.

The firm also emphasised that ease of access for users will continue to be a priority, and it will continue to collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the accessibility of its network.

A selection of law firms are currently beta testing the new features and contributing to the development of the final product.

Mark Tosetti, group partnership director at O’Neill Patient Solicitors, said: “LMS’ mission is to simplify the lives of conveyancers through its technology, and its commitment to continuous engagement with law firms has led to the creation of a product that will positively impact the conveyancing community and the wider industry,” he said. “We eagerly anticipate our partnership with LMS over the coming months, trialling the law firm to law firm communication feature and shaping the final product.”

Nick Chadbourne, CEO of LMS, added: “Secure Link® was born out of a need to improve safety and case query turnaround times. Inspired by the law firms themselves, this new iteration of our technology seeks to streamline end-to-end communication while simultaneously reducing fraud risk.

“But we won’t stop here – we’ll continue to develop and perfect our service by integrating other products and collaborating with third parties like InfoTrack to facilitate access for all parties involved in a specific case.

“Our mission is to drive transparency and efficiency in conveyancing through collaboration, and this is just the beginning!”
