Uswitch data shows changes in average mortgage rates

Uswitch data indicates an increase in average 2-year fixed rate mortgage rates (75% LTV) from 6.24% on 20th June to 6.45% on 27th June, marking a 0.21% change from the previous week.

Similarly, 2-year variable-rate mortgage rates (75% LTV) showed a significant jump of 0.45%, moving from 5.14% to 5.59% within the same period. The 2-year fixed rate mortgage (90% LTV) also experienced a rise of 0.21% from 5.93% to 6.14%.

Meanwhile, the standard variable rate (SVR) showed a 0.26% increase, moving from 7.99% to 8.25%.

In contrast, the 5-year fixed rate mortgage rate (75% LTV) remained unchanged at 5.79%.

The report also detailed changes in average mortgage rates across the “big six” lenders. While the standard variable rate (SVR) remained consistent at 7.49%, most other rates showed slight increases.

The 2-year fixed rate mortgage (75% LTV) saw a small increase of 0.01% from 5.6% to 5.61%. The 5-year fixed rate mortgage rate (75% LTV) experienced a 0.2% increase, moving from 5.04% to 5.24%.

The 2-year variable rate mortgage rate (75% LTV) showed the largest change, with an increase of 0.5% from 4.99% to 5.49%. Additionally, the 2-year fixed rate mortgage (90% LTV) also saw an increase of 0.14% from 5.7% to 5.84%.
