Specialist development finance lender BLEND has appointed David Mill (pictured) as lending director, as part of its growing lending team.
Mill joined from Hampshire Trust Bank and will be based in the firm’s London head office.
The news follows BLEND’s recent string of appointments to lead its nationwide development lending efforts.
Last year, David Alcock joined as managing director and Claire McGirr as head of portfolio management, both from Hampshire Trust Bank.
Alcock said: “We are incredibly pleased to welcome [Mill] to Blend, and believe he will bring a wealth of experience to our lending team.
“He has an impressive track record working for over 30 years within the development finance market with some of the most prestigious firms in the sector.
“BLEND was built to be home for incredibly talented and skilled property and finance professionals.
“I look forward to working with [Mill] to further strengthen BLEND’s focus on building long term relationships.”
Mill added: “I am excited to join [Alcock] and the team at BLEND which is well-known for its depth of knowledge about development finance, and for its hands on and helpful approach to lending.
“The CEO Yann has built a team with world class experienced people, technology infrastructure and flexible funding, but more importantly we have a shared belief in the importance of structuring funding that’s fit for purpose and that suits the specific needs of property projects for developers across the UK.
“I am excited about the opportunities in front of us, including our timing, and cannot wait to get started.”
Over the past few months, BLEND has also welcomed a team of senior bankers and credit specialists to its lending team.
Chris Mason joined last March as lending director, Philip Anderson joined in May as lending manager, Chris Hope joined in June as senior portfolio asset manager, and Duncan Armstrong joined last October as portfolio asset manager.
