Hope Capital raises over £6,000 for North West Cancer Research

Hope Capital has raised more than £6,000 for North West Cancer Research through various fundraising activities. The company partnered with the charity in May, seeking to raise as much money as possible through their fundraising scheme, The £50 Challenge.

The Hope Capital team was divided into five groups as part of the challenge, each group receiving £50. They competed against one another to see who could raise the most money for the charity’s innovative research through their fundraising campaigns.

Each team recently presented their campaigns to a VIP judging panel that included Alastair Richards, Chief Executive Officer from North West Cancer Research; Kirsty Shields, Operations Director from Financial Reporter; and Brad Armstrong, Partner and Solicitor from MSB.

Kate Cowan, chief financial officer at Hope Capital, said: “From raffles with very impressive prizes to a comedy night, bake sale, tuck shop, beat the goalkeeper and so much more, we have been so impressed with how the team have supported this idea and raised so much money for a charity which is very close to our hearts.”

Cowan thanked the judges and the team at MSB for their generosity and support in raising vital funds for the cause. She added: “We’re over the moon to raise over £6,000.00 in such a short period of time and hope this will make a big difference in supporting the charity’s work in the North West region.”

In addition to North West Cancer Research, Hope Capital collaborates with various local businesses and individuals to give back to the community. This includes their ongoing support of the Sunshine Group breast cancer charity, to which they donated over £18,000 earlier this year, and local food and anti-poverty charities such as The Whitechapel Centre.

Alastair Richards, chief executive officer at North West Cancer Research, expressed his appreciation for Hope Capital’s efforts. He said: “It was fantastic to visit the Hope Capital office and hear all about each team’s efforts in raising money for North West Cancer Research. It was clear there had been a lot of hard work, innovation and dedication put into each campaign, and we wholeheartedly appreciate their support.”

Richards also highlighted that The £50 Challenge is open to businesses of all sizes and that the charity always welcomes partnerships with organizations interested in supporting their cause and fostering team unity.
