LifeSearch makes senior appointments to drive growth

Independent protection specialist LifeSearch has made two senior appointments as part of its ambition to grow the protection market.

Justin Harper (pictured) was appointed as chief marketing officer while Ed Axon joined LifeSearch as chief growth officer.

Harper created multiple award-winning campaigns at insurer LV=, and more recently, led new ‘protection made simple’ initiatives as MetLife head of propositions.

Axon has worked in insurance and insurance technology for the past 10 years, and has worked with LifeSearch since January 2023 as a consultant in the role of strategic partnerships director, developing the “PoweredBy Lifesearch” strategy.

Harper and Axon both report to Debbie Kennedy, chief executive at LifeSearch, and sit on the LifeSearch executive committee.

Kennedy said: “It’s an exhilarating time for LifeSearch, as we invest in transformative technology and our talent to deliver contemporary protection solutions to more customers and partners.

“We’re thrilled to have Justin and Ed join the team at this crucial stage.

“As senior hires to our business, both Justin and Ed are seasoned professionals in their respective fields, with energy and vision to help us rewrite the playbook for success in the protection sector.”

Harper added: “I’m delighted to join LifeSearch. I believe we possess a unique opportunity to forge new financial frontiers, through the fusion of innovation and traditions of our technology and talent.

“We already support over 1.6 million families; I look forward to showcasing the value of protection to millions more.”

Axon concluded: “I am pleased to take on such a critical role that will help to identify and pursue new opportunities for growth and help shape the evolution of LifeSearch as we continue to break barriers for protection.

“Our development of “PoweredBy LifeSearch” provides a perfect adaptable solution for our growing network of trusted partners; and I’m excited to lead its strategic rollout across the industry and new sectors.”
