Finova, the provider of cloud-based mortgage and savings software in the UK, has formed a partnership with digital will-writing service Sail Wills.
The aim is to incorporate Sail Wills’ self-serve will templates into Finova’s broker CRM software.
The move comes as only 44% of adults in the UK have a will. Finova’s partnership with Sail Wills aims to encourage early conversations between brokers and clients about wills, especially during the homebuying process.
Matt Harrison, director of sales – broker channel, at Finova said: “When brokers talk to customers about mortgages, they often ask: ‘Do you have a will?’. Many don’t, which puts their property at risk. We aim to change that.”
Gemma Pitman at Sail Wills added: “Writing a will can seem daunting. But it’s crucial for financial planning and peace of mind. Our partnership with Finova aims to make it easier for brokers to guide their clients through this essential step.”
Brokers using Finova’s software can now offer Sail Wills’ service at a discount. A part of the fee will also go to the broker after successful client discussions.
