HM Land Registry completed 1,795,490 applications to change or query the Land Register in August 2023.
This marked a minor drop in applications when compared with July, when there were 1,822,173 applications.
According to the August report, the South East topped the table for regional applications, at 404,443.
This was closely followed by Greater London with 336,671, the North West with 202,217 and the South West with 174,000.
296,622 of the completed applications were for register updates, while 998,120 were for an official copy of a register.
203,004 were search and hold queries (official searches) and a further 84,299 were transactions for value.
Finally, 17,388 were recorded as postal applications from non-account holders.
