YBS Commercial Mortgages has appointed Allan Griffiths as its new head of networks in order to deliver support to networks across the UK.
The head of networks role recognises the importance of broker networks to the commercial finance market.
Networks play a pivotal role in providing structures for the brokers who operate under their organisations’ umbrella, both in terms of compliance and development.
Griffiths brings a wealth of experience having previously undertaken numerous senior roles within both YBS Commercial and the wider financial services industry over the last 37 years.
He has a passion for building longstanding relationships and brings a depth of experience to the role.
Allan has been integral to the senior leadership of the regional teams and is hoping his new position will enable him to ensure an ever-greater level of support for brokers across the UK.
He will be working closely with the business development team, building deeper relationships with broker networks on the commercial-lender’s broker panel, working collaboratively to support their clients’ funding requirements and helping them to achieve their growth aspirations.
He will be based at the new YBS Commercial Mortgages office at the Kensington branch of Yorkshire Building Society but will spend the majority of his time meeting with networks, covering the breadth of the country and engaging personally with brokers and their customers as much as possible.
Griffiths said: “I’m delighted to move into this newly created role, and I’m really looking forward to supporting our clients even more, through their networks, in achieving their ambitions, and contributing to our exciting growth strategy as a business as a result.”
Tom Simpson, managing director for YBS Commercial, added: “This new position marks a significant move towards focussing on better supporting our broker networks, which are a fundamental part of our business, helping them – and the brokers they serve – to thrive and grow.
“It also demonstrates our long-term commitment to the commercial market – and to finding new ways to work with our customer base as we move into the future.”
