Bond, a business development manager (BDM) at Skipton, said: “I grew up in a forces family. My dad served in the British army, along with many members of my family, friends, and their families.
“The armed forces have been a massive part of my life and so I was determined to push myself and raise money for Help for Heroes, who provide vital support to veterans.”
Bond added: “Working for a business that supports the armed forces is something I am really proud of.
“Earlier this year Skipton Building Society reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the armed forces by becoming a signatory on the Armed Forces Covenant.”
