Octane Capital promotes four credit team members

Octane Capital has promoted four members of its credit team – Rick Hollingsworth, Jamie Oxley, Nicky Pack and Chris Harrison.

The followed Octane Capital’s recent appointment of three new business development managers (BDMs).

These changes to the team reflect the specialist lender’s growth ambitions, as it aims to double its loan book within the next three years.

Hollingsworth was promoted to head of short-term credit, and will take on more management of the team, while still operating in the structured finance department, alongside Alex Tyrwhitt and Jamie Oxley.

Hollingsworth said: “I’m obviously very grateful for the opportunity and faith shown in me by the business.

“I’m looking forward to being more involved in the broader management of the credit team outside of my continued role in our structured loan proposals.”

Oxley has been at Octane since 2017 and is now senior structured finance manager.

He said: “I’m fortunate enough to have shared in the success of Octane since I joined on day one.

“The chance to progress my development, working with Alex and Rick in the structured finance team, is an exciting opportunity for me personally.”

After almost six years at the company, Pack has moved up into the role of senior credit manager.

Pack added: “I am delighted to take the next step in my career with Octane.

“My new role increases my involvement with more complex credit management and will see me taking on mentoring responsibilities for our credit analyst team.”

Now in the position of senior credit and portfolio manager, Harrison said: “Since I started at Octane in 2020, I have been interested in both the underwriting and the servicing sides of the business, so to move into this new role and focus on the loan portfolio as well as credit management fills me with excitement.”

Jonathan Samuels, CEP Octane Capital, concluded: “Rick, Nicky, Jamie and Chris thoroughly deserve their promotions and the extra responsibilities that come with their new roles.

“They have all worked at Octane for many years and shown excellent credit judgement combined with repeatedly delivering for brokers and borrowers.

“Whilst hiring people from outside is important for growth, promoting from within is core to Octane and crucial to developing career paths.

“Whether that be management responsibility or, in the case of credit, through gaining an increased mandate.I wish each of them every success.”
