Fiduciam appoints new general counsel

Fiduciam, the bridging and development lender, has appointed Borja De Ramon (pictured) as general counsel.

De Ramon holds a dual degree in law and business administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE E-3) and recently completed an Executive MBA at IESE in 2022.

De Ramon spent six years at Linklaters Spain in the M&A department before establishing the legal department of ThePower, a prominent Spanish start-up.

He said: “I am very excited to join Fiduciam.

“I am impressed by the young talent of the team and their ambitious plan to become a leading platform in direct lending in Europe, providing excellent service to all their stakeholders.”

Johan Groothaert, CEO at Fiduciam, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Borja to our team.

“His extensive legal background and entrepreneurial experience align seamlessly with Fiduciam’s vision for growth and innovation.

“We believe that Borja will play a crucial role in strengthening our position in the direct lending market in Europe.

“Borja joining our team is very timely, considering the demand for direct lending is higher than ever before in Europe, and Fiduciam is extremely well positioned to grab a large part of this market growth thanks to its advanced IT platform and stellar loan book track record.”
