ModaMortgages has appointed Scott Phillips as head of sales, and hired Becki Fraser-Tucker and Bec Murray as senior business development manager (BDM) and BDM.
As head of sales, Phillips will oversee the lender’s field-based team of BDMs.
He has 25 years’ experience in financial services, including roles as a national account manager at Vida Homeloans, Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), and OneSavings Bank (OSB).
Phillips said: “I am thrilled to join ModaMortgages. There is a clear sense that we are at the start of something very exciting, and our no-nonsense approach to buy-to-let lending is exactly what the broker market is crying out for.
“Having Becki and Bec join the team at the same time is also a real coup.
“Building strong relationships between brokers and BDMs will be fundamental to ModaMortgages’ delivery of an exceptional service, and Becki and Bec are perfectly placed to do just that.”
Fraser-Tucker has similarly worked across a range of national account manager and BDM positions, including roles with OSB, Bank of Ireland, and HTB.
Meanwhile, Murray previously spent over 16 years with HSBC, first as a mortgage and protection adviser before progressing to area mortgage manager, responsible for advisers and advice.
The two will manage broker relationships and assist Phillips in growing the BDM team.
Fraser-Tucker said: “The buy-to-let market has gone through another notable shift over the past couple of years due to rising interest rates, as well as new regulation and reform.
“What brokers and landlords need right now is a reliable, uncomplicated lender to help them confidently navigate change.

Launching in the coming months, ModaMortgages is an intermediary-only buy-to-let mortgage provider from Chetwood Financial, a Wrexham-based digital bank.
Darrell Walker was recently added as ModaMortgages’ head of mortgage sales and distribution.
Alongside Ian Lonergan, previously CEO and founder of Charter Court Financial Services, the parent of Precise Mortgages, and now group chair of Chetwood, Walker has developed the ModaMortgages proposition over the past year.
