Senior hire for West Midlands’ property search specialist

Legal residential property search services, compliance and IT risk solutions provider Index Property Information West Midlands, has hired Nick Draycott (pictured) for the new role of head of client partnerships.

Joining from property search provider GlobalX, where he was national business development manager, Draycott will support Index West Midlands’ legal and conveyancing clients to reduce risk and maximise compliance by utilising the firm’s market-leading portfolio of digital-first tools, services and products.

Draycott is one of three new hires kicking-off 2022 for Index West Midlands. The firm has also recruited Erin Proctor as business administrator, Aimee Evans as administration assistant, and promoted Lydia Woodall to business manager after five years at the company.

“New clients and transaction volumes have reached a record high over the last 18 months, fuelled in-part by the Stamp Duty Land Tax Holiday, and the residential property market boom,” said managing director of Index West Midlands, Kate Bould.

“To support and sustain this growth, we are now investing in growing and developing our team, and these new appointments mark the launch of this strategy.

“Not only did we record phenomenal organic growth in the demand for our bespoke offering from property solicitors and conveyancers across the region last year, Index West Midlands was also finalist in an award, and we pivoted our systems and processes to maximise our digital-first strategy so that our services were maintained and uninterrupted as the pandemic took hold.

“Lydia’s promotion is so well-deserved, as she is a phenomenal support to me, the team and each of our clients, and has been central to supporting the business’ growth and evolution, including the introduction of IT and risk compliance solutions.

“I am immensely proud of the team, and that we maintained and developed our service levels and standards for an exceptional client journey and experience, and also secured and onboarded numerous new clients.”

Of his move to Index West Midlands, Draycott said: “Index’s technology, products and services ensure clients receive the absolute best level of service and support.

“The firm has a reputation for exceptional client service, a highly passionate, expert and knowledgeable team that delivers robust compliance and support in record time, to property professionals across the region. These values, and the firm’s ambitions, match my own, and I am thrilled to have now joined the Index team.

“I’ve worked for several firms in the conveyancing technology sector, so understand conveyancers’ challenges and requirements for outstanding products and exemplary client service,” he said. “I am looking forward to putting this experience to use for the benefit of our clients, alongside developing the business, and onboarding and managing residential and commercial property law firms and solicitors.”

Lydia Woodall first joined Index WM in 2016 as an apprentice and was promoted to team leader in 2018 and business manager this year.

She said: “Whilst overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, HR, running training sessions, coaching team members and streamlining of processes, I also support Kate in product and pricing analysis, client development.

“Our values are focused on continuous improvement in all areas of the business, and knowing each team member has the power to make a difference to our clients and also to the continuing growth of the business.”

Index West Midlands is recruiting for a further two new client account management positions who will work with its law firm clients.

Index West Midlands provides conveyancing searches, reports and property transaction solutions such as environmental risk factors, HS2, utility and telecommunications reports, for commercial and residential property lawyers, real estate and agriculture lawyers.

It operates across Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, and the Black Country.
