Specialist buy-to-let lender Quantum Mortgages has welcomed Wes Friedel as its new head of bridging finance.
Friedel will lead the lender’s debut into the short-term finance market with a product range set to roll out in April, initially through a pilot with the ‘Disruptor Club’, a network of specialist intermediaries and introducers.
The bridging finance options will reflect the lender’s term loan approach, emphasizing certainty and a straightforward process.
Offering investment, refurbishment, and semi-commercial loans in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, these products will allow for an easy transition to Quantum Mortgages’ buy-to-let term loans.
With a rich background in bridging finance at Impact Lending and Propfin, as well as senior roles at Masthaven Bank and Mercantile Trust, Friedel’s expertise is poised to make a significant impact.
Jason Neale, managing director at Quantum Mortgages, said: “Having provided hundreds of bridging exits since we launched, it was obvious for us to look at whether we should be providing the initial short-term finance ourselves… Wes is a highly experienced bridging dinance professional who adds real know-how to our senior team. We are delighted he’s joined us.”
Friedel commented on his appointment: “I’m excited to be bringing a fresh and new proposition to the market… With solid committed funding behind us, I’m sure we can disturb this market the same way we did with specialist buy-to-let.”
