The Equity Release Summit, the flagship event in the later life lending calendar, is due to be held on Thursday, 23 May 2024 at Church House in the heart of Westminster.
Bringing together over 300 representatives from advisers, lenders, funders, legal firms, service providers and technology companies, it encourages the sharing of knowledge and best practice. This year’s LIBF CPD accredited programme [Programme – Equity Release Summit] includes a range of different sessions from the practical including how to have better consumer conversations and how to evidence these to the more thought provoking such as navigating trust and reputation in the equity release market.
A range of topics such as the implications of the Closed Book Consumer Duty Deadline, the future of product and advice innovation in the later life lending market and managing gender disparities in later life will also be tackled.
Delegates will hear from 25 speakers including David Burrowes (Chair of the Equity Release Council), Nick Lyons (Chair of Phoenix Group and former Lord Mayor of London), James Daley (Managing Director at Fairer Finance), Carol Nuttall (Managing Director at Adlington Law) and Andrew Gilbert (Product Director at Legal & General Home Finance).
With over three hours dedicated to networking, delegates will be encouraged to connect with peers to discuss how some of the biggest challenges facing individual firms as well as the wider sector can be tackled. On a more practical note, representatives from the largest equity release lenders will also be on hand to answer questions from advisers.
