Century Capital appoints head of lending and closes new funding line

Century Capital has appointed Kynan Benjamin (pictured) as head of lending and announced an increase in its lending capacity.

Benjamin has had roles at Lendinvest, Glenhawk, and most recently as director of credit at Reim Capital.

His position at Century Capital will include spearheading the lending division, overseeing sustainable growth, and fostering client relationship initiatives.

Luke Navin, who previously led the lending department, has taken on a new role as managing director.

Navin has overseen Century’s loan book expansion over the past three to four years, while expanding its reach in the prime property lending sector.

Century Capital has also renewed its principal funding line for an additional two years.

Last month alone, it has lent in excess of £25m of new capital, facilitating several deals in the prime London property market, including a loan secured over a £65m London mansion.

Paul Munford, CEO of Century Capital, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ky to our team – his reputation in the industry precedes him and he will form a key part of Century’s next phase of growth.

“We are also pleased to announce Luke taking on the role of managing director.

“It’s testament to the huge growth Century has experienced this year, and our commitment to becoming the leading lender in the prime London and Home Counties property market.

“We have also just closed a new funding line with a major partner, with more details to be released soon.”
