BTG Advisory, a business and financial advisory group within Begbies Traynor Group, has appointed Greg Forde (pictured) as a partner in its advisory team, based in London.
This marked a key step in the growth of BTG’s debt advisory practice, which covers debt raising, restructuring, and refinancing.
Forde has nearly 15 years of experience in corporate finance and debt advisory, having executed over 75 transactions and gained expertise in European debt markets and banking relationships.
He previously led a debt advisory team at a major global advisory firm and was involved in developing the venture debt strategy at a Big Four professional services firm.
Before that, he held senior roles at a leading international bank, focusing on private equity and corporate debt transactions.
Forde’s appointment follows that of Felix Connolly, who joined as a partner in the special situations M&A team last year.
Forde said: “I am thrilled to be joining the highly regarded Advisory team at BTG.
“The firm’s breadth of expertise and its client-focused approach make it an exciting time to come on board.
“I look forward to working with the team to build on the firm’s success and support its ambitious UK growth strategy.”
Mark Fry, national head of restructuring & advisory at BTG Advisory, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Greg to the BTG Advisory team.
“His extensive experience and deep understanding of the debt markets will be invaluable as we continue to expand our Debt Advisory offering and support our clients with bespoke, partner-led solutions, not only in London but across the UK.
Fry added: “This appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to attracting exceptional talent, enabling us to meet the growing demand for our specialist services.
“Greg’s expertise strengthens our ability to deliver impactful advice that aligns with our clients’ growing needs.”
