Lomond strengthens its presence in Kent with Oakwood Homes acquisition

Lomond has announced its second acquisition in Kent, securing independent estate and lettings agent Oakwood Homes to further expand its operations in the region. The move follows Lomond’s strategic focus on the South East of England as a key area for growth.

Oakwood Homes, founded by Andrew and Teresa Dickinson, has been a staple in the Kent property market for two decades, managing approximately 900 properties with its customer-focused ethos. The acquisition provides Lomond with a strong foundation in Kent, combining two of the region’s leading estate agency businesses to bolster its footprint and support future growth plans.

Andrew Dickinson, managing director of Oakwood Homes, said: “Teresa and I are extremely proud of what we’ve achieved at Oakwood Homes over the last 20 years, but we feel the time has come to embark on a new chapter in our lives. Although we’ve had a number of approaches, we believed it was essential to ensure that any transition made would be in the best interests of both our dedicated team and loyal clients.

“After very careful consideration, we believe that Lomond is the ideal fit in this respect, aligning strongly with the core values that Oakwood Homes has operated by from day one. Our exceptional team deserves the opportunity to grow, and with Lomond’s support, we look forward to seeing them thrive in the future.”

Ed Phillips, CEO of Lomond, added: “We believe that with Oakwood Homes joining the group we have acquired two of the very best estate agency businesses Kent has to offer. This milestone consolidates our extremely strong start with respect to our expansion across the Kent area, and we’re eager to welcome the Oakwood team into Lomond and further deliver on our growth ambitions within the county over the coming months.”
