Step One Finance has announced the appointment of Neil Molyneux as director of sales. The company says this move marks a significant milestone in its growth through product diversification within the broader corporate group and reinforces its commitment to supporting brokers and strategic partners across regulated and unregulated secured lending.
Molyneux has more than 25 years of experience in specialist lending. He most recently spent over two and a half years as senior relationship director at Ashman Bank, where he played a key role in building and developing infrastructure for the proposed bank.
Before that, he spent a decade as head of sales at Masthaven Bank. He has extensive experience in the second charge, bridging, and buy-to-let sectors. In his new role, he will drive the company’s expansion into new markets and oversee the diversification of its product offerings.
Molyneux said: “The goal of expanding our market presence, increasing our client base, and enhancing our product offerings is both exciting and achievable. I’m eager to apply my experience to help propel the business forward during this next phase of growth.”
Michael Childress, CEO of Step One Finance, said: “Neil’s appointment is an important step as we work to grow and expand our business. With his leadership, we’re confident of reaching our long-term goal of operating a best-in-class, multifaceted, specialist lending business capable of originating over £1bn of new loans per annum for the wider group.
“Neil’s experience is a perfect fit for our targeted roll out of products in both the specialist bridging and buy-to-let markets in 2025. We’re excited about the future and look forward to achieving great things with Neil’s expertise on board.”
