OMS partners with Countrywide Home Surveys to offer integrated referral service

One Mortgage System (OMS), the single-input enquiry to completion processing platform for brokers, has announced a new integration with Countrywide Home Surveys, part of Countrywide Surveying Services.

The collaboration provides OMS users with access to a bespoke referral service offering competitive survey fees, support from over 400 qualified surveyors, and a professional concierge service to assist clients throughout the process. Brokers will also benefit from generous referral fees.

The partnership is underpinned by consumer research recently conducted by Countrywide Surveying Services and Pegasus Insight, which found that 88% of consumers who used a home condition survey would do so again, while 92% said the survey provided peace of mind. Importantly, 60% of surveys uncovered previously unknown issues, helping buyers avoid costly post-purchase surprises.

Jodie Andrews, head of marketing and partnerships at OMS, commented: “Our partnership with Countrywide fills an important gap in terms of the partnerships we offer our users and so we’re delighted to partner with one of the leading surveying firms in the sector and offer users a bespoke referral service.

“With over £1.5bn of lending transacted by our users each month, I am sure this new partnership will prove popular. In addition, we will be holding a webinar with Countrywide to launch the partnership and brokers can register here.”

Helen Stead, head of Countrywide Home Surveys at Countrywide Surveying Services, added: “We’re delighted to partner with OMS, as brokers are obviously a fundamental element in the homebuying process for the majority and so helping brokers and their clients understand the value of a survey/condition report is something we are keen to develop and promote.

“Many borrowers don’t know the difference between a mortgage valuation and a survey and so we wish to ensure good financial outcomes for as many customers as possible, especially as it’s a key component to Consumer Duty.”
