Bibby Foreign Exchange appoints Neils Gooch as head of sales

Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has appointed Niels Gooch (pictured) as head of sales for Bibby Foreign Exchange (BFX) as it looks to further grow its support for UK SMEs.

Gooch joins BFS following a 15-year career in foreign exchange risk management, most recently at Associated Foreign Exchange Ltd (AFEX) where he held several roles and developed businesses across the UK and Europe.

He most recently served as the UK and EMEA sales director, where he specialised in international payments, FX risk management and cross border banking solutions.

Michael McGowan, managing director for BFX, said: “More than ever, small and medium-sized business owners need support in overcoming the complexities of trading overseas, so I’m delighted to welcome Niels to the team.

“His extensive experience and deep understanding of international payments and FX risk management will be invaluable as we continue to grow our support for UK importers and exporters.”

Gooch said: “I was attracted to join BFS because it is a leading family-owned business with a very strong reputation in financial services and a range of products that can help support many more businesses in the future.

“Aligned with the extremely positive culture in supporting its teams across the world and its very clear commitment to best serving their customers and building long term partnerships, I could see a fantastic opportunity to build on that strong platform and further extend BFS’s international network.

“I am really looking forward to working with the talented team here and continue to help our customers navigate the complexities of international payments and FX risk management as they look to grow overseas.”
